    Responsibilities:

    As a member of the Manufacturing East (ME) Inspection Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the continued integrity of process/mechanical equipment in the assigned unit through the accuracy and effectiveness of our inspection program, including:

    • Managing Unit Inspection Compliance
    • Managing Inspection Records in our corporate database
    • Completing regular inspections in the field
    • Reporting Inspection findings and working with technical staff to develop recommendations
    • Administering our company Owner-User Programs
    • Defining required inspections and generating inspections scopes for regular maintenance, outages and turnarounds
    • Participating as a member of the inspection team during turnarounds
    • Co-coordinating the work of NDE service providers

     

    Qualifications:

     

    Two-year technical school diploma with 8+ years working experience in a petrochemical/refinery plant or equivalent, or 10+ years combination post-secondary technical education and related experience or 10+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing discipline or equivalent technology environment.

    • Certification in API 510, 570 & 653 is an asset
    • Certification in API 510 within two years of start date is a requirement
    • Knowledge and experience of NDE techniques: Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle and Ultrasonic thickness Testing, certification is an asset.
    • Knowledgeable in TSSA Regulations
    • Knowledgeable in ASME Codes: Section I / VIII / IX and B31.3
    • Familiar with plant equipment & piping systems
    • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
    • Knowledge and experience with computer applications: MS Excel, Word, Access; SAP an asset
