    Our Performance Film Technical Service team, based out of the Centre for Performance Applications in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking a qualified candidate to support flexible film markets. This opportunity is open to candidates located in Canada and the US.

     

    Responsibilities: 

    • Actively applying and supporting Responsible Care principles and procedures;
    • Building and maintaining relationships with customers by:
      • Collaborating with them to identify their needs;
      • Recommending and assisting with resin selection suitable for specific applications, qualification, trouble shooting and process optimization;
      • Ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and effective resolution of customer complaints.
    • Leading Application Development projects to support Market Focus team objectives;
    • Supporting Marketing and Sales on a variety of issues (e.g. development of sales tools);
    • Contributing to various product quality related initiatives;
    • Engaging and actively participating in industry associations, and with equipment suppliers.

     

    Qualifications: 

    The ideal candidate will possess the following:

    • Bachelors degree (Chemistry, Engineering, Materials Science) with 8+ years of related experience or a technical school diploma with 10+ years of related practical experience;
    • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships;
    • Excellent communication skills including presentation and technical writing skills;
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently;
    • Strong problem-solving and trouble shooting skills;
    • Demonstrable history of strong performance in current role;
    • Well-developed critical thinking skills and an aptitude for thinking out of the box.
    • Ability and desire to lead projects.
    • Effective time management/organizational skills.
    • Demonstrated commitment to Responsible Care and alignment with NOVA’s values.

    This position will require the successful candidate to:

    •  Possess and maintain a valid Canadian driver’s license;
    • Travel up to 30% of the time throughout Canada and the U.S and therefore must be able to provide applicable documentation (i.e. Canadian or US passport) to this effect.
