    As an Intermediate / Senior Process Control Applications Engineer, you will provide process control application support to any one of our five Joffre site Olefins / Polyolefins facilities or Manufacturing Infrastructure which includes the 2 pipelines, Water Treatment Facilities and Co-Products areas. Although application support throughout the entire Joffre site may be called upon your primary focus will be in the Ethylene 2 unit.



    • Support the design, implementation and maintenance of control strategies on the Honeywell TPS and PKS systems ranging from simple SISO to the complex MVC applications, including: Pavilion Advanced Control software, Event prediction applications, HWL Experion and/or HWL’s Process Guard / Controller Performance Monitoring software.
    • Lead Alarm Objective Analysis reviews for new and existing DCS alarms
    • Monitor and Maintain Experion PKS DCS graphical user interfaces. Be able to program in VB / VBScripts and Jscript
    • Provide process application support for unit and capital projects
    • Monitoring of Key Plant performance indicators and initiating action to improve
      Monitoring and maintaining the integrity of the control system database.
    • Participate and/or lead Incident Investigations
    • Lead the Hazard review process for Process Control Applications
    • Provide Technical Assistance to the facility operating teams



    The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with ideally 8 years’ of manufacturing plant experience. Candidates with P.Eng. designation are preferred.
