NOVA Chemicals is collecting resumes for entry-level manufacturing opportunities at its Beaver Valley (Monaca, PA) facility. Area Support Technicians perform a variety of general and technical maintenance and production activities, including operation and minor maintenance of process equipment such as pumps, screeners, belt feeders, mixers, and hoists while demonstrating a detailed understanding of NOVA Chemicals’ safety standards, procedures, and expectations. Other activities include area housekeeping, packaging and material movements. This position is a member of the local Bargaining Unit and has the opportunity to advance within operations or maintenance. The responsibilities of operations includes, but are not limited to interpreting and following operating procedures, observing critical operating parameters, operating and inspecting equipment, monitoring process controls, recording process and equipment data, and identifying and troubleshooting process problems and taking corrective action.
Successful candidates must be able to work rotating 8 and/or 12 hour shifts, weekends, and overtime.

The NOVA Chemicals Beaver Valley Site is located approximately 25 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. The Beaver Valley Site manufactures expandable styrenics products including ARCEL®, a premium moldable foam resin for packaging high-value consumer products.
The Beaver Valley site’s primary focus is on commercial, manufacturing and technology functions.
