    The Change Leadership Excellence (CLE) organization within NOVA maximizes and sustains value generation from Transformational Change projects through excellence in portfolio management, disciplined execution of change initiatives and through the maintenance of the needed organizational capabilities. The CLE also helps deliver results in the Continuous Improvement drive across NOVA through targeted consulting in concert with the HR Business Partners and the Operations Performance Excellence Team.  

    Reporting to the Senior Vice-President Operations, the Change Excellence Leader will be accountable for enabling optimal execution of NOVA’s Transformational Change Project Portfolio. The role will also be accountable for sustaining Change Leadership capability within NOVA through people, processes, tools and structure.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Coaching & development of CLE staff to ensure the highest level of service delivery of Transformational Projects;
    • Management of the portfolio process for Transformational Projects, including assurance of standardized business cases, prioritization of projects via standardized methodology, recommendations to the NOVA Management Board (NMB) and alignment of resources to those decisions;
    • Program Management:
      • On-going upkeep and optimization of the change leadership processes (NOVA Change Leadership Framework & portfolio management) including all relevant facilitation models and tools;
      • Assurance of effective application of change leadership processes, tools and models as deemed necessary and fit for purpose for the specific needs of each of the Transformational Change Projects;
      • Appropriate and timely deployment of CLE resources;
      • Integrated delivery of change leadership services via the CLE group in concert with NOVA’s HR function, across the broad range of change activities;
      • Selection and management of external resources and consultants, as required, once all internal alternatives have been assessed, to deliver the results from the Transformational Project portfolio.
    • Ensuring the development and delivery of fit for purpose change leadership training to identified stakeholders (Transformational Project teams, NOVA’s Leadership group, employee groups);
    • Accountable for developing, maintaining and reporting KPI’s for the CLE group to the NMB and all identified stakeholders.

     

    Qualifications: 

     

    The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management Consulting, Engineering or Science with a graduate degree preferred (but not required), along with a minimum ten years’ experience in project management or project consulting with a focus on leading Transformational Change. The successful candidate will have experience leading a group or a function accountable for the provision of change management/leadership consulting services.

     

    In addition, the desired candidate will have:

     

    • Demonstrated excellence in leading teams and across functional boundaries;
    • Advanced knowledge of change management and change leadership methodologies, tools and techniques;
    • Strong communication and facilitation skills;
    • A demonstrated commitment to Responsible Care.

     

    *The successful candidate will be required to travel to other locations within North America approximately 30-50% of the time. As such, a valid passport will be required.
