Our Technology center at NOVA Chemicals is seeking qualified candidates for the Mechanical Engineer EIT position.
This position is with the Fluid Dynamics team at the NOVA Chemicals Research & Technology Centre in Calgary, Alberta.
As a member of this team you will provide research support to NOVA Chemicals Olefin and Polyolefin businesses as well as TransCanada Pipeline Ltd. through an ongoing research program.
This is a challenging position, which requires a strong knowledge of fundamental Mechanical Engineering principles and skills in analytical and simulation methods to carry out research projects in related areas. Research experience and knowledge with experimental techniques including data processing is considered an asset.
The successful candidate will posess a MSc (or BSc with 1-3 years related experience) in Mechanical Engineering or Applied Science or equivalent. In Canada, registered Engineer-In-Training (EIT) with relevant provincial association is highly desirable.
In order to fulfill the duties of this role, the successful candidate will be required to wear respiratory protective equipment. Candidate must successfully pass a fit test and be physically able to wear a respirator
