As an active member of the Administrative team and reporting to the PE1 Operations Team Leader, the incumbent will provide administrative support to the department personnel.  



  • Update operations procedures and manuals (process updates, shutdown procedure and unit pre-plans).
  • Generate reports, correspondence and presentations to meet defined business needs.
  • Order, receive and maintain office and applicable operating supplies using established procurement processes.
  • Able to handle inquiries and issues; involving others as appropriate to resolve.
  • Respond and redirect all incoming mail, calls, and customers
  • Carry out meeting scheduling, preparation, support (agendas, meeting minutes) and make appropriate logistical arrangements.
  • Maintain, operate and troubleshoot systems to support departmental processes (e.g. SAP, RCLS, SharePoint, Vanguard, manuals).
  • Manage and maintain distribution lists, organizational charts, drives and related documentation.
  • Operate and coach others on efficient operation of office equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Assist with training coordination and reporting (deficiency reports, registrations etc.)
  • Organize, coordinate and plan events; as required for the business.
  • Perform varied administrative tasks in support of programs, processes, and projects.



The successful candidate will have a minimum grade 12 education plus 4 years combination of post-secondary education and related experience.  In addition, the person in this role will have:

  • Proficient computer skills in the Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Familiarity with SAP and SharePoint would be an asset.
  • Self-motivated with strong planning, organizational, and time management skills to perform activities and complete tasks complemented by a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with restricted or sensitive information.
  • Ability to function independently in a team environment with minimal guidance and ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills will allow you to work effectively with team members and customers.
